A Glorious History
Designed by architect Frank T. Verity for Israel Davis, the original cinema was acclaimed for its stunning brick and stone frontage that graced Shepherd’s Bush Green. It was celebrated with the RIBA London Street Architecture Award for the best London façade in the same year of its opening. The remarkable design featured contributions from distinguished figures such as Sir Edwin Lutyens.
Contemporary Redevelopment
The redevelopment of this historical site was meticulously executed, incorporating the original award-winning façade with only minor modifications. A newly glazed roof mirrors the building’s original curved profile, allowing natural light to enhance the ambience of the hotel’s luxurious, Chinese-inspired interiors.
