The project at 8 Eaton Lane, located within the prestigious Grosvenor Gardens House, involves a sensitive restoration of a grade-II listed mansion block. This historic site is being transformed into 42 super-prime residences, offering luxurious living spaces that range from one to five-bedroom duplexes. The design draws inspiration from the building’s rich heritage, ensuring that its historical significance is preserved while enhancing modern living standards.

Careful Restoration Efforts

Our team’s work includes the meticulous deconstruction of a large section at the rear of the building. This is necessary to accommodate a new basement extension, which requires major structural alterations to the remaining structure.

The Parisian façade is a crucial aspect of this project, and its careful restoration is essential to maintain the architectural integrity of the property. Navigating these challenges is particularly demanding due to the involvement of numerous sensitive local stakeholders.

Minimizing Community Impact

To mitigate the disruption that construction may cause to the surrounding community, we have implemented innovative measures such as a free-standing ‘acoustic screen’ and an ‘acoustic tunnel’.

These structures encapsulate the rear of the building and our operational activities, effectively minimizing noise and maintaining a peaceful environment for local residents. Beyond residential units, this restoration will also include world-class amenities, including a pool, gym, business suite, grand reception, residents’ lounges, spa facilities, and a private cinema room.
